EAA made the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! yesterday that a B-52H from 307th Bomb Wing out of Barksdale AFB in Louisiana will be on static display for the first time in the annual convention's history. The display will be part of the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the B-52 entering service.
I was already extra excited about this year's AirVenture and the prospect of seeing !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but this has upped the ante even further.

The BUFF is one of the few modern military aircraft that I haven't had the chance to see in person and seeing it has long been on my bucket list.
I'm hoping for a B-17/double B-29/B-52 heritage flight.

I have a fishing cabin south of Barksdale just inside Texas. When I was there a few weeks ago, I could have sworn that I heard both a B-52 and a B-2 flying over us at night. Military aircraft obviously have very unique sounds.
